Cottage Extension and Re-Modelling
The original Victorian cottage with a 1970s single-storey extension was cramped and outdated. The owners wanted to create a contemporary family kitchen/dining and living space opening on to the sloping garden, and extend and improve the bedroom accommodation. The exterior needed to be in keeping with the other Eridge Estate properties however, to the rear, the modern styling was to be revealed. Upstairs extensions have enabled the formation of a master suite with shower room and dressing area with 2 double bedrooms for the children. Using a mixture of matching materials to the front of the house and more contemporary materials to the rear has given the house a fresh look with the new extensions being fully integrated into the original property.
